The Eddies on the River

Sunday

The Eddies on the River have a three and a half part melody and sing traditional folk, soulful, and whimsical songs. They most often perform as an a cappella group, but do bring an accordion and guitar onto the stage if they feel like the song needs it. The band started out as a book club in Saint Paul and eventually evolved into the band it is today! None of the band members is named Eddie and their group name comes from the fact that the band members like to meet up near the Mississippi River and watch the eddies, currents that run counter the main flow of the river. They have released several albums including A Hard Way To Go and Hold Fast.
