IRISH FAIR VOLUNTEER DESCRIPTIONS



Position 

Description

Alcohol 

Wristband/ID Check

Check IDs and wristband guests.

Beverage East / 

West

Includes serving, collecting money, checking ids and other duties as assigned! Must be 21 or older for this position.

Beverage Pub 

Includes serving, collecting money, checking ids and other duties as assigned! Must be 21 or older for this position.

Beverage Runner 

Lift kegs and cases of soda/ water and transport them via golf cart from place to place. Must be able to lift up to 150 lbs. with assistance.

Beverage Tear 

Down

Remove banners and signs; fold tables and chairs; and consolidate beverages from different vendors to a centralized location.

Box Office 

Sell tickets, check-in advance ticket holders and answer general guest questions.

Celtic Kitchen 

Assist chefs with setting up demos and ticketed meals, serving guests, and clean-up. Some simple food preparation as needed. Set up and take down of tables and chairs may be required for some shifts.

Marketplace Set Up 

Assemble tents, move tables and chairs, hang signage, and help vendors unload merchandise and supplies. Must be able to lift and carry 30 lbs.

Marketplace Tear Down

Disassemble tents, move tables and chairs, remove signage and help vendors load merchandise and supplies. Must be able to lift and carry 30 lbs.

Merchandise Sales 

Sell, stock and inventory Fair and performer merchandise.

Merchandise Set Up 

Unpack merchandise boxes, stock tables and shelves, and create an organized and appealing display.

Set Up Assistant 

Move, arrange, and assemble materials and equipment for various venues including dance floors, folding chairs and tables, and fencing. Bring gloves and a power drill, if available, and wear appropriate clothing and shoes. Moderate lifting in teams.

Signage Set Up 

Hang large signage. Must be able to lift 30 lbs.

Tear Down 

Disassemble and pack up materials and equipment, and load on pallets for return to the warehouse. Bring gloves, a power drill, if available, and wear appropriate clothing and shoes. Moderate lifting in teams.

Versatile (Floater) 

Work in any area of need for which the volunteer is qualified to work.

VIP Area 

Greet and provide exceptional hospitality to VIP guests, prepare and serve food and beverage, and coordinate valet parking service.

Volunteer Check-in 

Welcome and check-in volunteers; direct volunteers to work locations; and provide general volunteer support.

Wee Stages Artist Advocate

Assist artist(s) with light stage set up, adjust sound, attend to the artist(s)' needs, and support positive artist/audience experiences.

Welcome Booth 

Welcome Irish Fair guests and provide maps, programs, Lost and Found assistance, and responses to frequently asked questions, (e.g., performance times, restroom locations, directions, etc.).

Zero K Assistant 

Check in, sell tickets and provide t-shirts to participants; explain how the Zero K works; and direct participants to the infield.
