The Tim Malloys

Equal parts pub and punk, the Tim Malloys fuse traditional Irish music with a raucous Minneapolis sound and sensibility. They're a cornerstone of the Twin Cities Celtic crossover scene, with five records released since their 1994 inception. Their acoustic-on-fire guitar trio sound is flavored by the trad-rock songs made popular by a wide range of bands from The Pogues, Flogging Molly, or the Dropkick Murphys to Tom Waits, The Dubliners, etc. The Tim Malloys conjure up a bootlegger's dream of powerful guitar, manic grooves, and rollicking callbacks. Something whiskey this way comes....

“A little punk, a little rock, a lot of rebellion (who says you have to be Irish to sing “God Save Ireland?”), the Tim Malloys are a rollicking good time. Go ahead, sing along—everyone else does.”
