Getting to the Fair and Parking
With our convenient location near public transportation, parking and bicycle paths, getting to the Fair is easy!
Unless you have purchased VIP passes, best to use 175 Water St W, St. Paul as the destination in your map app. If you are a VIP'er you will have access to valet parking and should use 200 Doctor Justus Ohage Blvd, St. Paul as the destination.
Parking in Downtown St. Paul /Union Depot Shuttle
There are abundant parking options in downtown and lowertown St Paul just across the river from Harriet Island.
Union Depot Shuttle Bus
One great option: take the light rail to or park at the Union Depot parking ramp and take our FREE shuttle to and from our Fair grounds. Irish Fair will run shuttle buses to transport guests between Union Depot and Harriet Island every approximately every 30 minutes. ADA-accessible buses will be available. Shuttles pick up and drop off event guests in the cut in along Kellogg Blvd. and at the bus shelter in Lot C.
Buses are scheduled to run as follows:
- Friday, 8/12: 4:00-11:30pm
- Saturday, 8/13: 9:30am-11:30pm
- Sunday, 8/14: 9:30am-8:30pm
Union Depot has several lots including electric car parking stations and reasonable rates of $2-$4 after 5:00pm on Friday and on the weekends. Learn more about Union Depot here.
Parking on Harriet Island
There is parking along Plato Blvd. from Wabasha Street West toward the park. Many private businesses near the park open their parking lots to the public, most charging a fee that varies at their discretion. The Irish Fair of Minnesota does not control these lots or their pricing.
Accessible parking is available on the north side of Water Street between Wabasha and Plato Blvd. until full. Overflow accessible parking is available at 90 West Plato Boulevard. Look for accessible parking signs.
There is no general parking on Water Street during the Fair, however vehicles may drop passengers off at 175 Water Street West.
The parking lots on Harriet Island are not open to the public during the festival.
Bicycle or Scooter to the Fair
If you prefer to use two wheels, we will have plenty of bicycle racks available! Don't forget your lock.
Taxi & Rideshare
Taxis and rideshares (Uber, Lyft, etc.) can drop passengers off in the designated area on W. Water Street. Direct taxis and rideshares to 175 Water Street W
Directions to the Fair
Harriet Island is located just across the Mississippi River from Downtown St. Paul. Use 175 Water Street W to help you locate our main gate.
Directions from the west
Take I-94 eastbound to 5th Street exit. Follow 5th Street. Take a right onto Robert Street. Turn right (west) onto Plato Blvd.
Directions from the east
Take I-94 westbound to 6th Street exit. Follow 6th Street. Take a left onto Robert Street. Turn right (west) onto Plato Blvd.
