IRISH FAIR PHOTO CONTEST

This contest encourages the chronicling of Irish culture through photography. Photos may be taken in Ireland, America, or any country where Irish culture is celebrated. Past entries have included pictures taken at local pubs, Irish music and dance classes, parades, and in the entrants’ homes.

- Scenery - The mood of a place, or a setting in which a mood is conveyed. There may be people in the photo, but they must be incidental to the picture.

- Studies in Black and White - Photos of people and/or scenery. Winning entries best use black and white imagery to prompt a feeling or response in the viewer.

- Kid Pics - (age 16 and younger) Category which encourages children to explore Irish heritage through photography. Any aspect of Irish culture is eligible.

All contest entries are displayed in the Irish Fair pavilion for the duration of the fair. Winning entries receive ribbons and prizes.
